Sculpture Portraits

Shawn Slother, has been a professional sculptor since 1992.  He apprenticed from Master Sculptor, John Imhoff, for three years and attended Edinboro University.   Shawn graduated from Edinboro, Summa Cum Laude in 1992 earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with a concentration in sculpture.

Upon completion of his studies, Shawn was hired as a sculptor for FORT USA (a pewter manufacturer) in Providence, RI. While at FORT, Shawn was responsible for designing & sculpting low-relief & 3D sculptures.  He was promoted within the company, and by 1999 was the Product Development Administrator.  In 2000, moving his young family closer to their roots, Shawn accepted a position as a sculptor with Lindsay Claire Designs (a giftware manufacturer)  in Niagara Falls, NY.

Shawn’s work has been rewarded by appearing in numerous corporate literature & promotional catalogs.  He has been nominated for several Collector’s Editions Awards of Excellence, profiled in numerous publications, & received awards for his low-relief sculpts.

Having reached this level in his career, Shawn began his own business as a freelance sculptor in 2006.  This enabled him to focus on the sculpting he truly loves, and spend more time with his family.  Sculpture Portraits has allowed him to sculpt for manufacturers & corporations throughout the US & Canada, and for individuals both in the US & internationally.
