Meet the Sculptor

Shawn Slother is a professional sculptor creating works for corporations and individuals. He began his artistic training at an early age, apprenticing with Master Sculptor, John Imhoff, near Titusville PA. It was at this time that sculpting as a passion and career began to take shape in his life. He pursued his talents at Edinboro University and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1992, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with a concentration in sculpture and a minor in history.

While working his way through college, at Imhoff Fine Arts, Shawn was introduced to all aspects of being a sculptor...from design and sculpting, to molds and production.

Upon completing his studies, Shawn was immediately hired by FORT USA, in Providence RI as a sculptor. While at FORT, he was responsible for designing and sculpting low-relief and 3D original sculptures, as well as, training new sculptors. Through his efforts, Shawn was promoted within the company, and by 1999 was the Product Development Administrator. In 2000, moving his young family closer to their roots, Shawn accepted a position with Lindsay Claire Designs, in Niagara Falls NY as a sculptor. He had similar responsibilities there as well, sculpting for the gift industry.

Through these companies and others, Shawn has created sculptures for such distinguished companies as: Anheuser Busch, Disney, Longaberger, Coca-Cola, Rhode Island Sports Council, Warner Bros, MGM, Turner Entertainment, Smithsonian Institute, Nabisco, Paramount Pictures, West Point, Olympics, Biltmore, and numerous corporate logos and state seals. Shawn has been rewarded by having many of his works displayed in their literature and promotional catalogs. He has been nominated for several Collectors Editions Awards of Excellence, profiled in numerous publications, & received awards for his low-relief portraits.

Having reached this level in his career, Shawn began his own freelance business in 2006. This has enabled him to focus on the sculpting he truly loves and spend more time with his family. Shawn's Sculpture Portraits are beloved keepsakes of individuals, pets, and architecture. Shawn's Freelance Models are requested by Giftware Manufacturers and distributed internationally.
